Botany by Boat
Join Botanist Adam Bigelow of Bigelow’s Botanical Excursions on a journey around the lakeshore where we’ll learn about the plants, wildflowers, and ecology of the Bear Creek Lake. Adam has been studying the plants of Southern Appalachia for over 20 years, and he enjoys sharing his love and passion for the area through plant identification, interpretation, and storytelling. We will paddle in canoes and kayaks, identifying plants and flowers along the way, and take a short walk to Sol’s Creek Falls as time allows. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain a new and deeper understanding of this beautifully diverse area.
